  • Le Grand Phare de Belle-Ile – 215 steps and two ladders to the top
  • La plage de Port-Donnant. On September 8, 1964, Faithie and I walked on the beach at Weekapaug and Misquamicut, RI, and held hands. On September 8, 2014, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of that first date by walking hand-in-hand on this beach on Belle-Île-en-Mer, an Atlantic island off the coast of France. (This should put to rest the scurrilous rumor that I don’t have a romantic bone in my body!)
  • Faithie on the walkway down to the beach at Donnant
  • Is there a better way to explore the nooks and crannies of the imposing cliffs of La Côte Sauvage?
  • Near Port Coton. That's Faithie standing clifftop.
  • Near "La Grotte de l'Apothicairerie" on the northwest coast
  • La Côte Sauvage in a quiet moment
  • And another tranquil scene from La Côte Sauvage
  • The lighthouse at La Pointe des Poulains
  • On the northeast coast
